Try also to get a better staff with max Halves Skill Recharge and Halves Casting Time (20/20).

Is this true for all situations? I was wondering it for some time now if I should just prevent my hero monks from using rez during battle. Dunkoro's currently using renew life.

No rez for your hero monks or anyone else's. Use either signets (Ritualist: deathpact, Sunsspear or normal) or GoS+Chant (or FC-res chant).

If you have energy problems on an elementalist there are some key things you can do to correct it. This is also true for not being able to do the damage you think you should be doing.
Energy Management 101
- [skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill] --> This skill should be on almost every single elementalist bar... SO BRING IT!!!
- [skill]Air Attunement[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Earth Attunement[/skill][skill]Water Attunement[/skill] --> If you are still having trouble with energy management after adding GoLE, then you should add one of these skills to the build in order to get some energy back after every spell you cast.
- [skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill] - This Elite Skill can be used in combination with one of the four attunement spells above. I do not recommend this because there are a lot of really good damage elites that Elementalists can use and I would have to say that those skills are definitely worth using.
You should never have to take a secondary Mesmer and use inspiration magic. That idea is bad simply because an ele can get way more energy in the ways listed above than in any inspiration skill.
To get more damage out of your Elementalist, you should probably use a Elite skill, just an FYI.

Don't listen to them for advice at all. Some PUG's have pretty good ideas but the majority are sad. i might make a topic posting the funniest PUG builds you have seen or can think of.
